Klout Adds Facebook Fan Page Feature

About a month ago, Klout unveiled another round of major changes to their platform. The most exciting of these changes (at least according to us) is the ability to link Facebook fan and business pages to the Klout account of our clients. It’s OK if this is news to you, this change flew completely under the radar. Klout did not post an official message, blog or press release with the details of this update.

However, we are here to show you how to add a Facebook fan or business page to your Klout account:

Step 1 (Above) Click the Facebook emblem to get started. For some of you out there (and we were one of them) you’ve had client Klout accounts set up for some time now. Up until these recent additions, Klout only allowed standard Facebook page integration. If you’ve had any other page linked to this emblem, you were not automatically notified of the changes. This is how it flew under the radar.

Step 2 (Above) You will be directed to a ‘Connect Friends’ page. Click the link that says “Connect as a page you manage.” You will find this link directly next to the big orange box with the text “Merge Accounts.”

Step 3 (Above) A list of Facebook pages you manage will populate in a pop-up window. Simply find the account you wish to connect, and click “Connect.”

Step 4 (Above) You are connected! Tweet about it!!

We hope this little tutorial (if you want to call it that) helped to both get the message out, and get fan pages linked to Klout pages. If you knew about this already, so sorry for wasting your time … next time why don’t YOU let the rest of us know what’s up!?

This is broken now and has been for some time. No fix on the horizon. Lame.
