Speak Social Presenting at RISE – Beyond the BS: Social in 2012

RISE AustinEnough with the buzzwords already – let’s get down to business. As experts, ninjas, gurus and rockstars continue to fade into the background, real leaders with real business knowledge have emerged with clear definitions of what Social is, why it matters, and how it is going to affect growth in the coming year.

Join Speak Social’s Brad Bogus and Elijah May tomorrow, March 27 from 8 – 9:30 a.m. at Co-Space on West Anderson Lane in North Austin. They will share inside information on how to put Social Media to work.

“This is the entrepreneurial community stepping up and saying we want to be successful as a whole,” said Elijah May, a brand strategist at Austin-based marketing agency Speak Social who will be leading four sessions. “We can do that by helping each other out, by getting conversations going. That’s very Austin, and it’s very cool.”

Stephanie Bogus

The difference between Social Media dabbling and Social Media Marketing is a unified message. As a leader in content strategy for Speak Social, Stephanie adds life – and words – to a brand's goals. She sits down with clients to complete a Brand Profile, otherwise known as the playbook to any Social campaign. She may provide the content, but the voice is all theirs. Stephanie began writing in high school as a co-founder of the first edition of her school newspaper in 20 years. She graduated from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Journalism and minor in Political Science. While in school, she served as Editor-in-Chief of the school’s newspaper and completed an internship at Fox News in Philadelphia. She moved to Austin after graduating to take a marketing position with a large Federal Credit Union. Eventually, the world moved online to blogs and Social Networking, and her focus shifted.
